Brief Intro:
BWAIWar is finally back! After a couple years of peace and quiet, AIs are back at it in BWAIWarV!

BWAIWarV will have a completely new map pool!
Map Pool:
PvZ: Fighting Spirit, Cloud Kingdom
ZvT: Cloud Kingdom, Ground Zero
TvP: Jade, Icarus

Download the replay pack to test on:
currently removed (will reupload later, or pm me to remind)


Tournament Format:
Each AI will play every other AI not of it's race twice, regardless of performance, using the two maps for the selected matchup.
We will be using BWAILauncher.

Scoring:
For each win, or if the opposing bot crashes, your AI receives 1 point. You will receive no points if you lose or your AI crashes before the game is over.

The AI of each race with the highest total points will be the champion of that race. The author with the highest total of points combining all 3 races will be crowned the BWAIWarV champion!

Is this only one script per race or just one script total?

Edit: Given that we're going to be changing to a new host and a bunch of stuff is disabled, I think the entry date may need to be postponed.

Sorry for confusion, one race per scripts. (what I meant by this is don't send in multiple versions for one race.)

There's still no registration, I believe. People can still email me, but if people could register that would be nice! :)

I'll definitely postpone. Maybe May 01?

The replays themselves are now in one spot!
Having lots of sub-directories is great for organizing, but user efficiency suffers as a consequence (lots of extra clicking around).
Your BWAIWar replays should be situated as follows:
1. Move your old .rep files to a new directory, for the time being.
2. Unzip the BWAIWar5ReplayPack files into your main Starcraft replay directory.

If you did it right, it will look like this:

I'm guessing the new Fighting Spirit doesn't have the center expansion? I was kind lazy and didn't remove that when I recorded it.

Deleted! :D

Ugh, need to find time to work on my own AIs.

Updated Cloud Kingdom Replays! For both matchups. Please download the newest replay pack on the main post!

Changes:

AI now takes the bottom right expo correctly, used to be atrocious.

The Ai starting in the bottom left now attacks the 12'oclock expo through the valley expo, instead of going around the S. This makes it so both the AIs attack similarly.

Made main base a tiny bit bigger.

Myk: Please remove your replay pack. :)

Excellent. I'll check out the new ones soon.

I've kind of paused my development in wait of out new host and getting things running here once again.

I think we're ironing out a lot of bugs, and that's good. The last War kind of fired off with some fast decisions that left me wanting for something better, so I'm hoping this one lives up to my hopes, even if it takes a little while to get it ready first.

Will be updating Cloud Kingdom soon, if I ever get around to it...

problem:

player in top right when attack enemy player's 9 oclock expansion through the corner top left expansion downwards. not sure about if its the same for the 3 oclock one.

what will be changed:

attack will now be gathered and conducted from the ramp downwards instead of going way out of position to attack

specific changes:

ramp leading to 3 and 9 oclock will be one tile larger, while the path to the corner expos will be 2 tiles smaller
