AI vs AI - how??

Postby Xanthus » Tue Jun 15, 2010 4:12 am

I wanted to check out an AI vs AI game, but I can't figure out how to actually run one!

I tried a ton of different modes and game types. But after a few seconds, all my units disappear and even if there's 2 computers (or more) on different teams, it just says "You failed to acheive victory!" and kicks me out!

How do I do this?

Yea, I think it's if by the 15 second marks you have 50 minerals, it removes you. So if you built a worker or attack/repair your own stuff, it wouldn't remove you.

It's best to use the AIvsAI reps, or record your own.

If you record your own, you could create dozens of games on maps and conditions of your choosing within 20-30 minutes . AI actions are not saved; the comp actually plays itself again during reps, so they will work with any combination of AIs, and each would be a new game.

There would be no observer interference (AI acquiring you as a target), and you could see their resource/supply count. You could also speed up/down and pause at your own leisure.
