Anyone using BWTA?

Hi - I have been interested in using BWTA but I have run into some problems. First, it crashes as advertised, but it seems to crash on maps that should work such as Astral Balance. Second, I have noticed that analzying maps (at least in the debug builds) takes forever, this also is not that surprising. I tried to use the pre-analyzed ICCup files from BWTA_Results.rar but the file format has changed so they don't work with the latest builds. I also have not seen much activity or discussion around BWTA.

This leads me to wonder, is anyone using it these days? If so perhaps you could share how you have been dealing with these problems?

I guess more than 95% of BW AI developers use BWTA. Compile it in release and analyzing should finish in less than a minute on a modern PC. Check if it crashes on many of the maps in the ICCUP map pack. If it does, there must be smth in your code that causes it.
