BWTA Crash

Postby Kanamorf » Tue Dec 04, 2012 8:12 pm

I have been successfully developing against BWAPI for about 3 months now and got to the point where I felt it was time to do some map analysis.

So I created a new map analysis class included BWTA.h and called BWTA::readMap()
Problem I am having is its crashing no matter what map I select.

So I am obviously doing something very stupid......
I have grabbed the call stack on crash which is as follows

Code: Select all

msvcr90.dll!_crt_debugger_hook(int _Reserved=1632136)  Line 65   C

    msvcr90.dll!_invalid_parameter(const wchar_t * pszExpression=0x00000000, const wchar_t * pszFunction=0x00000000, const wchar_t * pszFile=0x00000000, unsigned int nLine=0, unsigned int pReserved=0)  Line 112 + 0x7 bytes   C++

    LizurdBot.dll!BWTA::load_resources()  Line 83   C++

    LizurdBot.dll!BWTA::readMap()  Line 88   C++

I am running on Win7 using VS2008 still
Any help would be much appreciated

Have you tried stepping through load_resources()? I don't have any experience with BWAPI yet, but I have a feeling some data is not being loaded correctly, or at all.

As I've advised you on IRC, I think you should try with one of the standard maps like Python or Lost temple and tell us what happens then.

Return to “BWAPI (wrappers in other languages / questions and announcements related to BWAPI itself)”
