Several people have found BWSAL helpful. Check it out to see an example of how to write a build order manager, scout manager, worker manager, etc. It has been recently updated for BWAPI 3.6.1.

Yeah if you compiled BWSAL in Debug mode (which of course should have the Runtime library set to Multi-threaded Debug DLL (/MDd)), you can start starcraft with chaoslauncher with the Debug version of BWAPI and then attach Visual Studio to the process in Tools -> Attach To Process. You didn't mention which version of BWAPI you're using, so I bet you downloaded a version of BWSAL that doesn't match your version of BWAPI. Make sure you're using the latest BWAPI header files and libs when you compile the Basic AI Module (assuming you're using the latest version of BWAPI). Also th...
