Does the build planner only work for Protoss? I came across the comment "starcraftSearchData is hard coded to be protoss state for now" in StarcraftBuildOrderSearchManager.h. What would I need to do to make it work for Terran?

One thing that would improve interest and participation in future competitions is more publicity. For instance, when I search 'Starcraft AI' in google most of the results are for the 2010 comp and Overmind. The most recent article I see on the front page is about Matt's Starcraft 2 AI. Somehow 2010'...

Is it a feature of BWAPI that it cannot run the Starcraft original campaign? Whenever I try to launch a non-expansion mission nothing happens.

On the bot ladder why does Xelnaga have such a high ELO? It is ranked #4 despite a 50% overall win rate and poor win/loss ratios against the top 2.

Electric Circuit, Medusa, Triathlon?
Arkanoid has a ton of neutral units.

Thanks for the tip. Arkanoid looks like a fun map... I wonder how many bots would get trapped by the neutral buildings.

I think it might be easier to start off making a bot to complete some of the missions, as the campaign AI is not as aggressive.

So it should add a property 'blocked' and maybe a set of Unit* blocking the choke?

For the wide chokes a terrain analyzer should include a choke width property, so bots can decide which one to defend.

Finished testing Skynet on campaign mode. See first post for details, in summary it manages to crash 2 missions and does not manage to win a single mission. Granted, 4 out of the 6 missions it did not crash on involved heros, but it still did not manage to do well on P6, the only drawn-out game due ...

I feel there is a need to lower the barrier to entry if you are looking for more participation. If not micro arenas, why not reinstate a limited tech track, perhaps only ground or only tier 1 units? The full game has an overwhelming amount of complexity I think has driven bot builders to follow &quo...
