One thing that would improve interest and participation in future competitions is more publicity. For instance, when I search 'Starcraft AI' in google most of the results are for the 2010 comp and Overmind. The most recent article I see on the front page is about Matt's Starcraft 2 AI. Finished testing Skynet on campaign mode. See first post for details, in summary it manages to crash 2 missions and does not manage to win a single mission. Granted, 4 out of the 6 missions it did not crash on involved heros, but it still did not manage to do well on P6, the only drawn-out game due ...

I feel there is a need to lower the barrier to entry if you are looking for more participation. If not micro arenas, why not reinstate a limited tech track, perhaps only ground or only tier 1 units?
